Mr. Soby has had over thirty five years business experience of which over eleven were as a sales and marketing executive in the computer industry. His early career included large corporations IBM and General Electric then smaller entities including founding several technology and financial services companies in Silicon Valley including VarFinance and Financial Innovation Partners. For several decades he has also been a venture development consultant and advisor to early stage companies in Silicon Valley encompassing a broad spectrum of state-of-art technologies. He is presently committed to applying his extensive knowledge of the high technology business start-up process to support qualified emerging growth companies access to much needed capital and achieve market success through his new funding paradigm, Silicon Valley Global Shares, Ltd., which provides capital for growth and expansion stage technology companies.

He is the author of a book on international strategic alliances in the Pacific Rim and for four years was an organizer of the Northern California Venture Capital Association’s technology investing program. He was a founder and served as President of the Silicon Valley Innovation Institute created for advancing applied innovation education in the high technology industries. He has also created course content and taught in an MBA program specializing in entrepreneurism. He has been a speaker at several technology industry business forums.

Mr. Soby serves as Chairman of CNTF Energy an advanced nano-materials company in energy storage. He received his BS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and then completed one year in marketing specialization at the University of Connecticut.
